“Thanks for Supporting the Whitefish Trail!”

Guest Column by Whitefish Legacy Partners Board of Directors, 06-12-13

On behalf of the Whitefish Legacy Partners board, we would like to express our gratitude for your support of our conservation, recreation and education work. With your support this year, we plan to build 4.5 more miles as well as maintain the existing 22 miles of the Whitefish Trail.

Over 40 local businesses and organizations shared a portion of their revenue for a day, invited customers to become “Whitefish Trail Friends” and/or provided corporate sponsorship of the Whitefish Trail last week during a busy time of the year. How generous!

The Hootenanny was a huge success with over 600 people in attendance celebrating the Whitefish Trail. Everyone had a boot-stomping good time with the Moonshine Mountain Band and the Spring Wagon String Band.

So many people in the community signed up as Whitefish Trail Friends and Family before and during Friends Week. But if you haven’t yet, it’s never too late to support the Whitefish Trail! Our goal is to recruit 750 Friends and Family this year. This is an ongoing effort so please sign up to be a WT Friend or Family. Check out our website to sign up at www.whitefishlegacy.org.

We would like to thank all the businesses who held benefits or coordinated activities for Whitefish Trail Friends Week and the Hootenanny. Thank you to Haskill Station, Naked Noodle, The Village Shop, Pescado Blanco, Sportsman & Ski Haus, The Toggery, Crush Lounge, Craggy Range, Latitude 48, Ciao Mambo, Piggyback Barbecue, Great Northern Brewing Company, Buffalo Café Nightly Grill, Central Avenue Bakery and Deli , Great Northern Bar and Grill, Glacier Cyclery and Nordic, Bar W Guest Ranch, Great Northern Cycles, Purple Frog Gardens, Whitefish Bike Retreat, Montana Conservation Corps, Ravenwood Outdoor Learning Center, Sweet Peaks Ice Cream, Montana Coffee Traders, Celebrate Rentals, Imagination Station, Café Max, Wasabi Sushi Bar, and Alpenglow Dental. Events throughout the week were made possible by our 2013 corporate event sponsors: Whitefish Therapy and Sport Center, Zane Ray Group, and Jersey Boys Pizza.

Finally, we need to take a moment to recognize our gratitude for our 2013 corporate sponsors: Sportsman and Ski Haus, Glacier Bank, Glacier Cyclery and Nordic, Third Street Market, River Design Group, Nelson’s Ace Hardware, Whitefish Bike Retreat, Buffalo Café, State Farm, Plum Creek, Rocky Mountain Transportation, First Interstate Bank, Wright’s Furniture, Great Northern Cycles, Grouse Mountain Lodge, Lakeshore Rentals, Crestwood Resort, and Crystal Winters.
