Welcome Haley King

Join us in welcoming Haley as our new Education Coordinator!

I love playing outside! In my free time, you'll find me riding my bike, scaling rocks, or swimming in the lake! My deep passion for the outdoors led me to get my BS in Outdoor Education in the hills near my home--the Blue Ridge Mountains of South Carolina. With my additional studies in Psychology and personal experiences of nature's healing power, I was soon drawn into the therapeutic outdoor space. I spent some time guiding expeditions for inner city youth in the Pacific Northwest; eventually, I was drawn to Northwest Montana where I spent several years focusing on providing outdoor experiences for youth battling mental health challenges. After falling in love with my local trail system as well as deeply desiring to expand access to outdoor education in the community, I found WLP! I hope to continue creating safe, fun, and engaging educational opportunities in nature's classroom so folks feel empowered to enjoy the trails around them for years to come.

The Whitefish Trail runs through a mix of state, federal, and private lands. These cooperative partners seek to preserve public access, healthy forests, wildlife habitat and water quality on these open lands.
